Diet starts now

The picture didn't turn out very well but this is my lunch today.  I am officially starting to eat healthier.  I've been giving into my cravings way too much recently and I'm worried I'm going to be one of those women who gain fifty kilos during pregnancy and then take forever to lose it again.

Now don't get me wrong; this doesn't in any way mean I'm planning to not eat any chocolate or ice cream or junk food.   Those are definitely necessary to keep me sane and make the baby happy.  I'm just going to try and make sure I'm getting enough serves of fruits and veggies and all the protein and stuff that I need.  then pig out on chocolate as snacks rather than as meals (yes I have been doing that sometimes).

I also really have to start forcing myself to exercise as all my muscles have disappeared and been replaced with flab lately.  It's very scary.

I thought I'd include the recipe for the salad I had for lunch today in case any of you want to try it (it was really filling)

Tuna Salad:
95g tin of tuna w/ tomato and onion (wrapped in paper towel to squeeze off the extra oil)
150g Coles Salad Mix (contains lettuce, carrot and cabbage)
handful of pitted kalamata olives (rinsed and sliced)
handful of grape tomatoes (cut into quarters)
Half a handful of grated cheese (need to put some fat in there)
drizzling of balsamic vinegar

I would have really liked to put some avocado in there as well but I didn't have any.

Feel free to send me recipes guys.  (easy recipes)

Baby boy pics

Here is a profile of my baby's face and cute little photo of his feet.
I must say at this age his profile kind of looks like Charlie Brown lol.

Slugs and snails and puppy dogs tails

That's what little boys are made of....

I certainly hope not seeing as I'm terrified of slugs and snails although I do have alot of love for puppy dogs tails.

Hurry up and get to the point Bec!!

Alright, Alright I'm sorry.

I'M HAVING A BOY!!!!

I'm so excited.  I was really hoping for a boy.  Of course the cliche is true and I would have been happy with whatever as long as it's healthy but let's be honest here boys are so much more fun.

The only downside to having a boy is the clothes.  Baby girls have such cuter clothes and an amazingly huge range.  Boy's clothes are pretty boring.  If anyone knows of any great shops (that are in Australia or deliver to) please let me know.

My fashion gene is defect

Before becoming pregnant dressing up was one of my favourite things to do.

Lately nothing inspires me, when I go shopping I can't find anything I like (which is great financially) and none of the clothes in my wardrobe seem quite right.

I'm not quite at the stage where I need maternity clothes yet but I'm feeling a bit fat and bloated so my clothes don't sit quite right.

It's only to weeks to go until my birthday and I want to find something fun and glamorous to wear but I am an idea free zone.

Throw me ideas people.

Gross Pregnancy lesson off the day:

So I was browsing through a pregnancy message board when I come accross a post titled "Mucous Plug" I texted my sister to ask what it is and her reply was "you don't want to know"

She's right, I don't! Neither do you.

Why is making babies so gross!!!

And where is my glow?
